Starting is instant. Open a listing you're interested in, hit "Message Owner" or "Chat," and a thread opens right there, type your message and send. The owner is notified immediately, both in-app and by email, so your question doesn't sit unseen for days.

The messaging itself is built for real property conversations, not just plain text. You get real-time chat that shows when the other person is online or typing, and read receipts so you know your message landed. You can share images, handy for sending documents, an ID, or a photo of a specific concern about the place, and record voice notes up to five minutes when typing won't do. Quick replies speed through the common questions like "Is this still available?", you can pin the important details such as an agreed price or move-in date so they don't get buried, and a search tool finds any past message across all your chats.
