Makao Match reaches you three ways, and you can mix them to taste. In-app notifications live under the bell icon in the top menu, gathering every update in one place. Email notifications land in your inbox for the things that matter, like new messages and visit requests. And SMS notifications push the truly critical alerts straight to your phone for registered users, the ones you can't afford to miss.

What you'll hear about covers the whole cycle of interest: new chat messages from tenants or owners, visit requests for your properties, someone favouriting your listing, fresh blog posts and platform updates, roommate match responses, and even performance milestones as a listing crosses 50 or 100 views.

You're in full control of the noise. Go to Account, then Notification Preferences, and toggle each type on or off, choosing email, in-app or both for each. You can also set the day of your weekly digest, a tidy summary of the week's activity for when you'd rather not be pinged in real time.
